The idea of creating an MS Gin was firstly imagined by one of the main founders of Selkirk Distillers who has been diagnosed with MS since 2011. Alongside a fellow MS Society member, they wished to raise awareness of the condition as well as funds for the society. Jane and Kirsty thus created the gin at Selkirk Distillery and named it 1953 in order to commemorate the year the MS Society was founded by Richard and Mary Cave.
Distilled with local botanicals, 1953 Gin provides captivating fresh, floral aromas which are pleasantly accentuated when served over ice with a quality aromatic tonic.
The women behind this fundraiser remain strong, independent and creative. Jane and Kirsty aim to raise money for the MS Society so that everyone diagnosed with the condition can access the support they need from the point of diagnosis.
A donation of £10 from each sale will go towards the MS Society nationwide as well as £2 to the Scottish Borders MS Branch.
